A1, the title track ‘When Darkness Turned Purple’ is a dark, psychedelic journey written about a true story with my pal Ben (See last pic) which perfectly represents the experience back in 2021 with its moody rolling acid lead and extraterrestrial pads.
The darkness turned purple.

A2, ‘Little Red Hearts’ is written about the August/September of 2021 when all the postponed covid festivals all came at once and led to a 5 week period of festivals every weekend (bar one) shared with a consistent crew and the little red hearts.

It is a sonic representation of the euphoria, the “I love you bro”s and the feeling we felt to be finally back raving.
What a time.

But a play on words…

An analog only jam that I clearly didn’t want to end, addicted to that percussive synth sound I was up all night pure free styling over a 10 min loop and the next thing I knew I had to go to work
If there were still an emperor, who loved raving, this would be his national anthem
